POSITION TITLE: Large Projects Electrical Foreman

 REPORTS TO: Project Manager or Other Assigned Supervisor

 POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is a key position in achieving a high level of efficiencies in the coordination and execution of electrical projects. The areas of involvement include interaction with the Project Manager, Senior Project Mager and Estimator for the implementation of the assigned electrical projects. This position requires a high level of personal, organizational, and personal relationship skills.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; ACCOUNTABILITIES:
&middot; Leads and controls electricians engaged in all activities concerned with their assigned projects
&middot; Ability to optimize resources (personnel, equipment, and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the works within the scope of work
&middot; Able to demonstrate good organizational skills, following policies, procedures, and work practices
&middot; Ability to read, interpret and follow procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation
&middot; Develops excellent working relationship with their work crews and with all other Capital City Electrical Services personnel
&middot; Develop two-to-three week look ahead for each project assigned
&middot; Project estimated hours to completion for work tasks
&middot; Be aware of, and respond to, project budget constraints
&middot; Participate in weekly cost-to-complete meetings
&middot; Able to give instructions in an efficient and effective way to their workforce
&middot; Coordinates with other trades&rsquo; leadership to ensure the optimum utilization of available work with the overall objective of successful completion of the project
&middot; Recognizes &ldquo;out of scope&rdquo; work and submits RFI&rsquo;s to Project Manager for submission to customer
&middot; Leads and supervises workers engaged in the electrical works of industrial, commercial, and maintenance projects (installation, repairs, and testing)
&middot; Ensure that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment, and materials
&middot; Prevents wastage and misuse of equipment, materials, and tools
&middot; Supervise work crew to best utilize personnel and materials
&middot; Exercises discipline strategies to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices, and idleness
&middot; Familiar with all company safety procedures, regulations, and strictly enforces them with the personnel under their responsibility
&middot; Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and accidents
&middot; Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace
&middot; Other duties as assigned

&middot; Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching or running on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
&middot; Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
&middot; Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.
&middot; Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
&middot; Crawl over, under and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.

DRESS CODE:
&middot; Field employees will wear appropriate shirts with sleeves, long pants and sturdy work shoes or boots (OSHA standard).
&middot; Uniforms will be provided.
&middot; All clothing will be of a proper fit and condition so as not to constitute a safety hazard.
&middot; Clothing may not have any derogatory, offensive, sexually suggestive, or degrading writing, symbols, pictures, language, or logos of other contractors.
&middot; Employees may wear jewelry if the jewelry is appropriate and does not constitute a safety hazard.
&middot; Body piercing (other than earrings) should not be visible.
&middot; Similarly, employees will keep their hair and facial hair groomed to avoid safety hazards; or they will secure their hair to avoid safety hazards
WORKING CONDITIONS
&middot; Ability to perform duties in extreme varying temperatures, e.g., exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions, on your feet, 8 to 10 hours daily up to 6 days a week.
&middot; Job requires employee to wear required personal tools and belt with them at all times.
&middot; Work from all types of ladders, stepladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders and all size extension ladders.
&middot; Carry and relocate extension ladders up to 28' stepladders up to 12' by yourself.
&middot; Employee's personal weight with personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1 - 250 lbs., Class 1A - 300 lbs.).
&middot; Perform work at various heights, up to 60' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks or other safe work areas.
&middot; Work in restricted areas, switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics and vaults, following proper procedures.
&middot; Wear personal protective equipment, e.g., hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and earplugs at all times, and when applicable,
&middot; Follow special procedures including contamination control, noise control, vibration, building systems awareness and procedures.
&middot; Candidate must be able to work night shifts and mid shifts, as required by customers.
&middot; Respond to short notice overtime requirements
REQUIRED SKILL SETS, EDEUCATION, &amp; EXPERIENCE:&nbsp;

The Electrical Project Manager oversees and coordinates electrical projects from inception to completion. This role involves planning, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Electrical Project Manager works closely with VP of Service, Sales Team and Estimator for the implementation of the assigned electrical projects. &nbsp;This position requires a high level of personal organizational and personal relationship skills. &nbsp;Supervises all aspects of performance and work stay in compliance with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning &amp; Execution:
Supervises Electrical Project Coordinators/Engineers, Electrical Project Foremen, Lead Electrician, and work crews in all activities concerned with electrical works aspects of a construction project. Commands respect of foremen, skilled labor and discipline workforce, and develop excellent working relationship with all other department personnel as well as client management. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for electrical installations and systems. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Coordinate with engineers, electricians, and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution. Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines. Coordinates with other trades&rsquo; Project Managers to ensure the optimum interface of the various operational activities, with the overall object of successful completion of the project. Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the project. Able to lead and motivate staff toward a common goal. &nbsp;Must be an excellent communicator. Able to give instructions and transfer knowledge (written and verbally) in an efficient and effective way at all levels (client, management, supervision, co-workers and staff). Must be proficient and able to use current technology and software for the purpose of completion of projects. &nbsp; Prepare reports for the executive team; Be able to interpret, explain, and make recommendations for the success of the projects based on report data. Reporting shall include margin forecasting, completion costs, risk mitigation strategies, and any other relevant information.
Technical &amp; Compliance Oversight:
Review electrical designs, blueprints, and technical specifications. Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations. Conduct quality control checks and testing to verify system functionality and safety. Attends scheduled job progress meetings, coordinates two weeks and one week ahead work plan. Ensure that all work is in conformity with standards and specifications. &nbsp;Interprets specifications and discusses deviations from specified electrical procedures to ensure full compliance with Capital City Quality Standards. Comply with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incident or accidents.
 Team &amp; Stakeholder Management:
Supervise project teams, including electricians and subcontractors. Conduct regular meetings to update stakeholders on project progress. Resolve project-related issues and ensure effective communication between all parties. Budgeting &amp; Cost Control:
Prepare cost estimates and track expenses to stay within budget. Manage procurement of electrical materials and equipment. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety. Safety &amp; Risk Management:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures to mitigate hazards. Foster a culture of safety among project teams.
 Qualifications &amp; Skill Sets, Education &amp; Experience:
10 years of experience in electrical project management. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and construction practices. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. PMP certification or Georgia State electrical contractor license (preferred). &nbsp;
